The Tournament
High octane, blood-bathed, British action thriller starring Ving Rhames, Robert Carlyle, Kelly Hu, Ian Sommerhalder, Liam Cunningham, Scott Adkins and Sebastien Foucan.
Every 7 years in an unsuspecting town, The Tournament takes place. A battle royale between 30 of the world’s deadliest assassins. The last man standing receiving the $10,000,000 cash prize and the title of Worlds No 1 (which itself carries the legendary million dollar a bullet price tag). The Tournament is set up by a group of sick high stake billionaires who watch the mayhem unfold via CCTV and bet on its outcome.
The film is now complete and is due to be released 2009. Release schedule and latest media will be uploaded to the site shortly.
Well done guys, been following the film since the test trailer way back in 2005, showing everybody saying: “Hey! I know these guys!”. Kept checkin IMDB and google wondering when an official webpage would appear….worth the wait.
Imagery and footage looks good, bout time something decent got filmed in Bulgaria. Scott Adkins and Kelly Hui are the Dogs B*llocks, excellent choices.
I really wish I’d kept in touch with you guys, but hey! that’s life. I’m really chuffed that someone out of that lot from Art College made it, they all thought we were daft, but look who’s laughing now.
Looking forward to seeing the results guys and remember in about five years time when you’re all stood infront of Daniel Craig and his Aston Martin waiting to call action, it will have all been worth it.

Hi Guys.
I’ve been waiting with baited breath to see this movie ever since the marketing promo was leaked onto the net sooo long ago.
The cast is to die for, the action looks violent and bloody and over-the-top. I especially love what I’ve seen of the double-decker bus sequence.
I run a small action/horror review site and I am looking forward to posting some publicity for this movie. Any idea when an official trailer will be released?

It’s getting a vanilla DVD release in some territories in December. Hopefully a UK cinema release will have kicked off the buzz by then.

have just come back from the screening at the Fantasy Film Fest and would like to congratulate you on a great film. Had lots of fun, the rest of the audience there seemed to enjoy it as well (people laughed and clapped in the right places). Hope this will get a proper cinema release.

they are 30 assassins but we only know the names of some of them and the actors who interpret them as such .. I wonder what the names of other assassins who are not referred to throughout the movie? there is a sequence of deaths throughout the film and we do not know their names ..
I live in Dubai and I was well chuffed when I found out about this! I remember reading the Evening Gazette article about the filming in Teesside, and even the purchase of the buses from my home village of Eaglescliffe!
I look forward to watching it on the big screen this weekend, nice to watch a piece of home here in the UAE, and its made by native Teessiders too! Have a parmo on me lads!
